Re: Another one bites the dust

http://files.eliteprospects.com/layout/players/12592.jpg Des Moroney, the man, the myth the legend, has died at age 82. Born in Ontario, he played in Sweden from 1962-1978, and is pretty much our definition of what you call Old School Hockey. Sometimes seen smoking a cigar between shifts. All kids ...

Re: 2018 Winter Olympics - PyeongChang

My only interest now will be to see if Erhoff can end his hockey career with an Olympic medal. The Germans have two more games to play. If they win at least one, they get medals. Mission accomplished. Germany beat Canada 4-3 in the semi final. In regulation. At least we took them to overtime..... :...

...and iron ore and other raw materials to Germany....also sold intelligence to Britain until it was depleted. Yup. We cracked the German encrypting before the Brits did, and shared the information we received with the Norwegian government in exile in London, who then shared it with the Brits, thus...

Re: 2018 Winter Olympics - PyeongChang

And to honour our neutral stance we delivered ball bearings that were essential for the production of tanks and aircraft to both sides. 8-) Slightly more to Germany, but the British got a better discount. https://es.handels.gu.se/digitalAssets/1341/1341645_golson.pdf So, not really neutral, just wa...

Re: 2018 Winter Olympics - PyeongChang

Is that the 1st time since 1939 that Germany has defeated Sweden? Yes but in 1939 Sweden grabbed her ankles and let Germany have at 'er. Not at all. Just like the USA we decided to stay out of the war until attacked. And to honour our neutral stance we delivered ball bearings that were essential fo...

Re: 2018 Winter Olympics - PyeongChang

Is that the 1st time since 1939 that Germany has defeated Sweden? If you mean wars, our last was against Napoleon, in 1814. Can't recall Sweden ever having been defeated by Germany, as such, albeit king Gustav II Adolf died on German soil in 1632 during the 30 year war, but that conflict was betwee...

Goldobin ... and Jake compliment each other. It's great for team rapport that they give each other compliments when deserved, but more importantly, they complement each other on the ice. LOL. Thanks Per By the way Per, is it true Germany beat the Swedes? http://canuckscorner.com/forums/viewt...

Re: 2018 Winter Olympics - PyeongChang

It was a good move to the net by the German to score in OT. A was a little unfortunate that Fasth appears to sweep it in himself in an attempt to get his glove on the rebound shot. Do you think this German team has a good chance against Canada? Interesting to see the Czechs find success in the shoo...

Re: 2018 Winter Olympics - PyeongChang

 Sweden loses to Germany in overtime. Yeah. I said they should have gone with youth. Like Elias Pettersson. :hmmm: Instead they built a team that could play defence but had no offensive skills whatsoever. Oh well. And the Finns are also eliminated. At least their women medalled. Ours ...
