Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond 2018/19

Remember that Elias Pettersson played for Växjö Lakers in the SHL last season? While he won the points scoring title, rookie of the year, best forward, league MVP and playoffs MVP and set an all time points record for a junior playing in the SHL, the team won the regular season, and then the playoff...

Re: US Erection 12 *AND* 16

So, what about the Saudis? :eh: A Washington Post columnist enters the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Fifteen government agents with a bone saw arrive shortly thereafter. The journalist is never seen again. :( Turkey reveals they have sound recordings of the journalist being murdered. Time to bomb Ira...

Re: Goaltending

I don't know, but maybe winning the world championship last spring gave Nilsson the confidence boost necessary to take his game to the next level? Looking good so far! 8-)

Todd has a nephew. 23-yo. Would fit in age-wise with the new core.

Can we make a trade? :|

Gretzky had Semenko. Bure had Odjick. Who does Petterson have? :look: And the Penguins won the Stanley Cup again after they got crazy ass Sestito to play a handful of games vs the rowdy teams during the regular season. Ovechkin has Tom Wilson. Just sayin' big fella N. Ritchie is still without a con...

I just traded Stamkos for Petterson in my fantasy league.

I have no regrets.
Bad timing though.... :(

So it's good we have some complimentary wingers to play in our top 6.
I'm pretty sure they are all getting paid. :|

Right, Wellwood and Krutov also deserved the criticism they received... Krutov probably should have stayed in the Soviet Union. Re: Goaltending

None of them let in so many first shot goals. Markstrom is a backup goalie capable of giving you 20-30 games a year. I haven't come across that particular statistic. If you look at win percentage, ie won games divided by games played, Luongo, Schneider and Cloutier stand out while Markström and Nil...

Re: Goaltending

For now, though, Markstrom's numbers still say he's at least an average NHL goaltender, i.e. one of the twenty best in the entire world. I suspect the fact that the last 3 goalies you saw a lot of were Luongo, Schneider, and Miller may be distorting your sense of what is reasonable to expect. Exsac...

Re: Goaltending

Both Canuck goalies tend to fo well with the Swedish national team. They've both won gold at the World Championships. But then look at the blue line Nilsson had in front of him last spring: KLINGBERG John EKHOLM Mattias WIKSTRAND Mikael LARSSON Adam EKMAN-LARSSON Oliver LINDHOLM Hampus GUSTAFSSON Er...
