Re: 2019 Draft Summary

Can't say I know anything about Costmar, but he has decent numbers in junior, he was on the gold-winning Swedish team at the WJC-18 this past Winter, and that he has played four SHL games already as a 17-yo shows that his team believes in him. Hopefully he'll make the cut for the WJC this winter, an...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

So... Höglander. You may think Pettersson comes from a small town. Well, Höglander takes that to a whole new level. Bockträsk (Goat Swamp) in Lapland (Sweden's northernmost province) where he grow up has roughly 20 inhabitants. Nils and his one year older sister were the only kids there. They learnt...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

If he can't get to N.A. sooner, It'll be difficult if not impossible for him to get time on NHL size ice, so; That begs the question; Would there be anything stopping him from getting in some time with some other players on small ice in the summer? Even if it is just f**king around. Consider two ye...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

He is clearly the third best talent in this draft but those concerns could cause a draft day fall. THIS is huge. Of course, there is the Russian factor, but if he has that much talent he should want to play in the NHL, even if the first year or two will be a pay cut compared to the KHL. And let's h...

Puljujärvi was actually born in Sweden, not far from here, and has dual Finnish and Swedish citizenships. His parents are Finnish though, and they moved back when he was four. Incredibly, he does not speak any Swedish at all. Maybe Petey/Edler/Marx can teach him? Does that mean he could be t...

And an ocean between us! Hush now, my love, come closer and lie down I wish to touch you once before I leave Your eyes are ponds, so deep that I might drown, Yet you're a god in whom I can believe Your smile is warm; you burn me with its heat I know I have to leave you much too soon I'm yearning fo...

"20 years a fan" yet the first we hear anything of it is when they are like two games from a championship. What a dipshit. Actually, that part makes sense; who the hell talks about volleyball at a hockey forum? :eh: Or basketball, was it? I mean, it it was an important sport, like curling, sure, bu...

Re: Only 99 days

Not sure where mining is headed in Sweden. It's a huge industry for sure, especially since we have like 92% of Europe's iron ore (5% of global reserves). They are right now moving an entire city, Kiruna, because the mine needs to expand under the city centre, and that will make it unsafe to live the...
