Re: Sens @ Canucks 7pm pst. Snp

Some nights everything goes in. None of those first period goals were really Nilsson's fault -- he might have played the Gaudette-Roussel two on one better, but even playing it better it is a high quality scoring chance. Demko made huge saves in this game, and he gave the Canuck skaters the ability ...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Adam Gaudette has arrived. He was s beast last night, especially on Roussel and Fatburgers goal Any value from a 5th rounder is terrific. He does look better this season. Speed concerns aren't eliminated for me (more first two steps quickness than skating speed), but I think he is playing with moun...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Miller has been better than expected. I knew he was a good player but he really seems to be fitting in well on this team and seems to have embraced a leadership role. I think that's right. Thing is, this really is the first opportunity he's had to play that kind of role. That he can is a bonus. Tha...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Jeff Paterson Canucks say Roussel is close. Considering options for him now including a possible stint in Utica 11:13 AM · Nov 22, 2019 f That would surprise me somewhat. Considering the type of game he plays, why waste it down there? IMO, he would be at least as much of a target for the AHL crashe...

Re: Stars @ Canucks – 7:00 PM - Sportsnet

* Dallas had better possession and did their best to clog up the middle and had an effective PK, but Canucks appeared to me to have about the same number of quality chances despite a night that lacked crispness. Dallas simply converted at the end of the game. * Seemed to me Dallas brought a B+ game ...

Re: Predators @ Canucks – 7:00 PM - Sportsnet

A few random thoughts about last night..... * Predators were skating well and in the second and third had the better of the pressure. But that pressure was created by constant D activation, and it gave Canucks several dangerous counterattacking opportunities. That's not where their goals came from, ...

Also Gaudette out / Eriksson still in.
Asinine. Air Thief must have pictures of someone. He’s a useless tit.
Gaudette and Eriksson both played poorly last night.

But only one underperformed expectations.

Tomato sauce is a completely wrong sauce for the shape of spaghetti. It is for a short stout pasta. Pasta shapes are designed around matching sauces.
Now that's a relevant objection to spaghetti and meatballs.

And Per, nice pivot....

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Gotta agree with the Chef on this one, Italian food is THE BEST! I love Italian food, and yeah, when it's done right, preferrably by Italians, it is THE BEST. Per: "I don't want Mexicans preparing food in my Italian Restaurant." That might even make Trump blush. Aside from the cheap shot, the cult ...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Read an article where the writer opined that it's time for NHL GM's to blow up the bridge deal and bank on young stars coming off their ELC's. https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/nhl-young-stars-contracts-bridge-deal-big-read/ It's an interesting thought, his first example being Clayton Keller who ...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

ESQ -- I don't think your position is unreasonable because JV should maintain that kind of value over a contract, but at the end of the day there will be only so many players that can be part of a core when ELCs expire and flexibility becomes an asset to consider. For better or worse, the Canucks al...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Jake's contract is up this July. Ya! Playoffs would be a great chance to see what he can do in that situation. He's cheap at 1.25. Early to be on this but if he has a decent year and can show better consistency, all round, and get in some playoff time and look effective doing it, I would not be adv...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

It's challenging to pick a name that doesn't clash with the other major sports. Seattle currently have a coastal theme for all their teams: Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders (although the impending? return of the Sonics breaks that trend). They could try to stay somewhat maritime or coastal, but it seem...
