Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Three sources have reported it. This management team has telegraphed everything they do since they started. They’ve even went so far as to get their wrist slapped for tampering Sorry blob, but Sekeres and Price are not credible sources. If they had any sources (which they don't, and never have), in...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

Nobody is in a rush to acquire Nylander because of his idiotic contract demands. You are setting a precedent for idiotic contract demands to follow if you are having to give a Nylander what he so undeservedly wants. It’s a contract that would have a dangerously cataclysmic fallout for every contrac...

This scenario arises every year, nothing happens.

No one learns.
What scenario is that, people complaining about unrealistic trades in the trade fantasy thread?

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

LA firing John Stevens was fairly unconventional, given where they were in the season and the injuries they've dealt with. They clearly thought they were "salvaging" the season with that move, now they're down 2 goalies. If they blow the next 2-4 weeks waiting for their goalies to come back, the sea...

Kings lose another goalie, with Jack Campbell out 4-6 weeks.

When Nilsson comes back, I'd love to see JB pull a pick out of LA for a goalie - especially since I think it'll be a high, high pick this year.

I thought you’d be gowed up at the Legion pounding on a table for the waitress to refill your pitcher of draft and deciding on chicken tenders or the double burger for lunch.
Waitress?

At the Legion?

You must really be a regular to get that kind of service!

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

I thought the general rule of thumb was that if a fired head coach was hired by another team as head coach then the former team could just pay the difference in the salary for the remainder of his tenure. Obviously a severance package would change that. But it would also free the coach up to go whe...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

It's interesting to me that suddenly it was a lock all along Tavares was going to Toronto and never wanted to stay in Long Island. I NEVER heard that prior to July 1st. Toronto was not seen as a team that had much of a chance. It was San Jose, Tampa or the Islanders in almost everyone's mind. It's ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Quenneville's contract runs thru 2019-20. Is he just paid a flat severance or does he have to avoid being hired by another team in order to continue collecting a paycheque? If the latter, then he has plenty of time to make a decision on which young and upcoming contender he wants to join ;) ;) This...

Those sad, sad Kings.

They should be rebuilding, but instead they think they need to go all-in.

They also don't have the cap space to re-sign Nylander and not be terrible. They should be trying to shed shitty contracts, instead they want to trade for and then overpay Nylander.

Bubbles starting realize that 1-2 years is real. Ahhhh the ever moving goalposts,,, Isn't the Strangelove prediction this year or next for making the playoffs? He’s locked into this year Well, he's always had one year of wiggle room - last year it was focus on 1-2 years from now, so as DC4PM says, ...
