Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
So both Colorado goalies are injured. They are now in desperation mode trying to find a good starter, who can then be a good back up when Varly gets back. I wonder what we could get for Lack? Do we want to go there? They are said to be looking hard at Vokoun. I was posting on this issue in T&R, but...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
That's the rumor. Eakins is swearing that the injury happened on the hit but the suspicion is it happened during the fight.herb wrote:So the Nuge is hurt?
I wonder if Hamhuis gave him a boo boo?

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
All conflicts of interest and joke LTIR aside, just the idea of having a dirty player like Pronger in the department of "player safety" is a joke. "Yeah - sure he stomped on the guy's ankle, but it isn't ' that ' broken - no suspension". Agree. This move smacks of nepotism. I don't know Pronger fro...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Just saw on twatter than the Flames' Sam Bennett needs shoulder surgery and will be out for at least a big chunk of the season. When the Flames spat in the hockey god's eye, it must have been an especially phelgmy one. Ahh.. it sure would have been nice to win that one in 2011. That's for damn sure.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Lombardi placed on waivers by the Rangers. Center Matt Lombardi, whom the Rangers signed to a two-year, $1.6-million contract during the summer, was placed on waivers Sunday along with defensemen Michael Kostka and Steven Kampfer and goaltender Cedric Desjardins. As a result, defenseman Matt Hunwic...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Nobody is uncoachable. You just need a coach that is smarter than the player And comparing Phaneuf to Shea Weber is comparing apples and kiwis. Phaneuf commands ZERO respect in this league. He's a joke. I saw it in the 24/7 series and I've seen it in All Star games which leads to my rotten apple co...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Lil humility boys a Lil humility... *LOL* I will say this about Kessel though. I thought Burkie was off his rocker when he traded 2 1st rounders for Kessel. Kessel turned out to be a consistent top goal scorer for the leaves and he still has a shit load of goals still left in him at just 26. Tyler ...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
I also think quite highly of Kadri. The kid has talent and he's a grade A asshole. Two qualities you just can't learn. If Kadri were a grade A asshole, the Leaves wouldn't have been trying to trade his ass all summer. You need to learn the difference between assholes and punks ... young man. :twist...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Shall we compare our 2007-2010 record with LA and then cry for a while? Ahem. You forgot budding superstar Linden Vey, 4th round pick in 2009 :P Seriously, what does it say that LA can trade a 4th rounders for a 2nd round pick? It says that Ron Delorme has naked pictures of somebody quite influenti...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
So a guy in his prime who is never hurt and can be PPG with Bozak as his centre and has the second most points of any player in the NHL the last 3 seasons is not worth a first round pick? Kessel is the exact same player as Patrick Kane. Only Kessel has scored more. Instead, you're trying to sell me...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Ok, just being devil's advocate here. Phillys is a naturually talented scoring winger. One of the best scoring wingers in the league. Does he back check? No. Coachable. Does he hit? No. We woudln't want Hank hitting so why would the Laughs want Kessel hitting? Does he forecheck? Well, he skates arou...
