And to think, this was the golden opportunity Demko was waiting for.
No kidding.

I bet he feels like he just got kicked in the head. :look:

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

I think the Kesler comparison for Gaudette is good, because remember how offensively inept Kesler seemed in his first couple of seasons. Certainly nobody thought he'd turn into a 40-goal scorer in his prime. He just kept getting incrementally better offensively. I don’t see it. Kesler was a far bet...

Re: GDT: Canucks @ Wild, Nov, 15, 5pm SNP

Is "Bachman Turnover Overdrive" really the best that an NHL team can do for a backup these days? Starter plays 9 straight including some back-to-backs and loses the last 3. He needed a night off. Back-up goaltender has a broken hand or something. AHL starter/Future NHL starter(?) is sidelined with ...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

Stats Update: Toronto is currently tied for 5th in GA in the entire NHL and have the Norris frontrunner. AHL D, no? Will be interesting to see how long you disappear over the summer when the Laughs go out in the first round again. Boston just lost Chara and Tampa Vailevsky due to injuries. I think ...

Re: GDT Nov 13/18 islanders snet pac. 650.

When Brock and Baer are back it’s a pretty safe bet that Goldie heads to Utica. His passes at both bluelines are terrible more often than not. He has no second effort after a turnover. He tries to walk NHL defenders like he’s playing junior B still. I think the writing is on the wall. I should clar...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Quenneville's contract runs thru 2019-20. Is he just paid a flat severance or does he have to avoid being hired by another team in order to continue collecting a paycheque? If the latter, then he has plenty of time to make a decision on which young and upcoming contender he wants to join ;) ;) This...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

For Tavares sake alone I hope the Isles somehow face the Leaves in the first round and sweep JT right outta there in 4 routs. From all appearances The guy handled his pending free agency like a complete prick. I don’t fault a guy for wanting to test the waters and go play at home for his favourite ...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Bubbles starting realize that 1-2 years is real. Ahhhh the ever moving goalposts,,, Isn't the Strangelove prediction this year or next for making the playoffs? He’s locked into this year Well, he's always had one year of wiggle room - last year it was focus on 1-2 years from now, so as DC4PM says, ...

Yeah, both Troy and Pouliout are earning spots 7 and 8 in a hurry when Edler and Tanev get back. Wow are they bad on the point with the puck.
