Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

TBL linked to Karlsson to help put em over the top, go all out - but they'd need to clear massive cap space to accomplish this feat with Point RFA, Vasilevskiy RFA next yr, and they are already a cap team. I'd target their 2019 first round pick #27 + Callahan + probably has to include one of their ...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

I always have one red flag with projected top-6 forwards coming out of the Q. When it comes to the modern era, unless we're talking about a Crosby or MacKinnon level talent, guys who score close to 1.5 ppg in the Q tend to struggle to produce at a level that people hope for. Defense just isn't as pr...

Re: 2018-2019 Playoffs. Round three

Like him or lump him he’s #14 in all time scoring. I’d say he’s accomplished a fair bit more than very little. He’s a guaranteed first ballot hall of famer. I guess guys like the twins and Iginla have accomplished very little by those lofty standards. For me Blob its playing with humility. Name any...

Lol, we used to do that to, turn the set down and dial up Jim and Tom. The politically incorrect days of old, Tommy didn’t mince words
I think many If is did the CKNW thing while watching the TV on mute.

Jim and Tim were gold.

Re: 2018-2019 Stanley Cup Finals

If they win I’d let Marchand make the 1st round pick in front of the Canucks fans while kissing his newest cup ring and chugging a bottle of whiskey. But you hate Benning. The truth comes out - blob is actually a Bruins fan. It all makes sense now - Benning was dead to him as soon as he left the Bl...

The Bruins winning it would be hilarious
Why? Because their management at the time had them set up much better the Vancouver's management after the 2011 Cup.

Marchand, Kreji, Bergeron, Chara, Rask
Krug was there too, and he's been a big factor on the PP as Chara declined.

Re: 2018-2019 Playoffs. Round three

I can see how the refs missed this one though. Meier plays the puck with his hand and then swipes at it with his stick as it goes by a STL defender. It’s a knuckle puck as it travels so it’s possible they think he gets it with his stick before it goes to Karlsson. Obviously not on the replay, but th...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

If I were Holland I wouldn’t be looking to trade either of my top two centres. You build around that. Again, I wasn't making a trade proposal involving the Canucks, but a fair return from the Canucks for McDavid absolutely involves Elias Pettersson going the other way. Wouldn't you rather have Drai...

Re: Canucks Contracts

Leivo was this year’s Mason Raymond. Raymond has a lesser shot and dangle ability and was half as physical, but he had great speed and knew how to back check on the wing. Oh and he had a mean button hook along the half-boards to avoid a hit.....always followed by a backhand dump around the boards in...

Re: How to fix the Canucks defense?

Beach has ZERO NHL games played? lol Yes Eriksson, Sutter, Beagle are overpaid, but obviously more so Eriksson being dumb overpaid, but between Eriksson, Sutter and Beagle they have a combined: 2,132 NHL games played, with 152 playoff games. These guys are pro's and are better than all the career A...

Tdot leaves dot in a world of trouble, will have def' have to move Nylander for D help along with one of Kapanen/Johnsson. William Nylander-Elias Pettersson-Patric Hornqvist, ist line at the worlds. Oh-Oh Na; not even if they score a killzillion, right? I would still add Nylander to this team for t...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Benning seems confident he will be able to fill roster needs via trade. Well more confident about trades being a possibility than in past years. I hope this doesn’t mean he will go all Chiarelli on us! Our roster needs are not small.....what the hell is he planning on giving up to fill those needs?...

Horvat will be the last player left from this Gillis era pretty quick lol. JB like a king lion killing off all the former cubs for their own line to thrive Horvat will be a ten year vet by the time he plays his next playoff game Wow, ouch. That's real doomy-gloomy. yikes. Horvat didn't play a singl...
