Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Good post Meds. But I’m not so sure Brock is a clear cut top 5 in 2015. He was a hell of a pick where we got him though. Chabot, Provorov and Barzal are all studs not to mention Konecny and Connor let alone Aho. I forgot about Chabot, Provorov, and Connor. Changes things up. He's still a top-10 pla...

At this point, I’m fully ready to admit being wrong on the Miller trade. Guy has been fantastic and easily worth the acquisition cost.
Respect.

Graceful reply

You owe me a new keyboard for that comment Blobby.

https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/jim-benning-still-looking-top-six-forward-bolster-canucks-roster/ So Jim wants to add to the top-6. What's his trade chip? Petersson, Boeser, Horvat, Hughes, Miller, and Myers, should be untouchable. Edler, Tanev, Eriksson, Sutter, Roussel, Beagle, and Ferland, al...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

I think someone said it elsewhere already, but Toronto was not a good looking team last night. They looked like they belong where they are in the standings, and perhaps even are over-achieving because of a few undeserved OT points and some truly stellar goaltending by Andersen. Vancouver honestly si...

I imagine Topper to be late 50’s. BerryMan - late 70’s. Blob late 30’s, Doc early 60’s.
You’re a decade off on me.
Shit Blobcat! You're only 29?

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

That said getting a player of Quinn Hughes ilk at seventh overall is pretty fucking good, considering the lack of the Canucks luck at the lotto since 1970. That is indeed why Benning is as well renowned as he is at the draft table. With the exception of Juolevi and Virtanen, the guy has taken shitt...

Re: Leaves @ Canucks 7pm pst SNP

Anderson has seen every shot. No traffic at all. Nice play to start the second goal by Myers. Toronto isn’t very good but neither is Vancouver when they play like this Meh. He's been screened plenty.....the puck just never makes it through the traffic. Our offensive gameplan has clearly been drawn ...

Re: Leaves @ Canucks 7pm pst SNP

Canucks are playing pretty good defensively tonight but aren’t generating fuck all in the Leaves end. Shockingly Ferkland seems to be injured again. Maybe keep him out until he can actually play or just LTIR him for the year and give his spot to MacEwan. Hughes is the best player on the ice tonight...

GDT: Canucks vs Sabers 07 Dec 2019 @ 13:00 PST on SNP

Early afternoon game in Vancouver. I think that's the second one this year.....don't usually see many of these out west. If we have our legs it will be a fun match up. If we show up in our usual afternoon siesta mode it'll be over in 15 minutes. I see Markstrom probably to start.....I thought he wen...

Hall?

Yeah no

Trading Demko to get rid of Erikson is gay
Theres a reason hes only played 1 playoff game in his career that includes winning a hart trophy. Not a team player

Very, VERY hard no
No shit. I can't believe anyone would even want to consider this.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

I still can’t believe the bounty Iron Mike extracted from Mike Milbury for the overrated Trevor Linden. Best trade in franchise history. Umm - Bert for Luongo was the best trade in Franchise History with Nazzy for Stojanov being a close second. Edit - yes, I understand the Luongo trade doesn't happ...

I'm really liking MacEwan's game. Round and tumble, likes to play the body, unafraid of the corners or crease.

Re: Sens @ Canucks 7pm pst. Snp

As much as it's enjoyable to smash a team 4-0 in the first, it's tempered by the fact that it's Ottawa, and outside of 3 or 4 players they are an AHL level club.
