Re: GDT: Canucks vs Blue - 7:00PM PST on SNV

So, my understanding is that the Canucks are a perfect 3-0 so far, but have not held a lead at all this season.

Thats a bit odd.

Re: Time for a prediction thread

However with a trade or 2 and some players kicking it up a gear (Sutter) while the rest play good hockey. Whatever you pick should be looked at as potentially moving +/-1 spot. A key injury, a hot goalie or some good/bad luck in the OT or shootouts can easily move you up or down the standings. Alth...

Re: 2016 Training camp

If Rodin makes the team will Thinker return? It's funny you mention this as I'm finding it really hard to pronounce his name "RodEEn"... always comes out "RodAn". Actually, it's an ö, not an o, so the correct pronounciation would be closer to Re(r)-deen. The first part rhymes with her, purr or fur,...

We love our abbreviations here. Why not call him OJ? Bieksa is gone so we can even call him Juice.

That would make sense for now. His faceoff numbers were horrible, something like 35%, which was by far the worse % on a team that did poorly in the dot overall.

Re: 2016 NHL ENTRY DRAFT

This draft, if Benning is picking in the top 3, is his chance to get that 'Franchise Centre' he said every championship team needs. If he has a chance to draft either Matthews or Puljujarvi, I would be surprised if he didn't pick whichever one was available. That said, if he's picking 3rd and those...

If Benning is successful, Blob will be depressed for his torch + pitchfork ways. If Benning fails, Blob will be depressed because his team will suck forever. Blob is in a lose-lose position... the wretched scurvy dog! !! Can you blame a Canuck fan for having a case of chronic pessimism? The e...

Re: Canucks sign Thatcher Demko

Follow Eddie Lack ✔‎@eddielack Let's start the Markström/demko controversy tweets. I'm on the wagon hahahah Gotta love Eddie! We went a whole year without a goalie controversy. When was the last time that happened? 2011? 2010? Gasp - Benning signed a player that was drafted by the team. Never seen ...

Re: 2016 NHL ENTRY DRAFT

Because you can never have too many Russian redwoods (or in this case a Belorussian redwood) on the ice, if he's still around in the later rounds and Benning has a pick, this guy http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=248808 may not be bad to have around as a project. I saw Falkovsky play ...

Re: 2016 NHL ENTRY DRAFT

Actually vic, the Canucks are one of the worst teams in updating their depth charts for players' size. They still have Ben Hutton's height and weight listed from when they drafted him. His last season at Maine he was listed at 6'3" and 200 lb and having seen him interviewed on TV he is definitely l...
