Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

The Gandhi shit needs to go, Diehard. It doesn’t work in the arena of gladiators. Sutter is just way too Vanilla, 2nd generation self entitled royalty through name. Vanilla is not what the kids coming in need to be influenced by. Gudbranson, he’s just collecting a cheque like Garrison. Again get ri...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Alright, Sutter and Gudbranson need to go. They have about as much fire and brimstone as Virtanen saying “I need to be a player other teams hate”. Take Eriksson with you. I actually like Roussel, keep him, he can be a true shit disturber, he has some balls. Benning needs to bring in players with tu...

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"

20 min in this is a great interview. This man is well spoken. He belongs in the game. A team could do well to hire him as a president. Bloberto still pleasuring himself whilst thinking of Mikey, some things never change! I just think he’d be a good prez type guy. Didn’t say he should be a gm ...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Lol what’s he gonna do? Throw him under the bus? Typical fluff piece Aquilini sure comes across as not the sharpest knife in the drawer - says 'you know' every second phrase and is definitely not comfortable with public speaking. Maybe he keeps Jimbo around so at least there's somebody in the organ...

Re: LOL

I remember Shakes, Ulf and Leafsfan Steve. I believe you enraged a few of those posters a time or two. I may have been a member at the old cornflake board and /or at Mckeens Ulffy and Stevie are at HF now, not sure about Shakes (he could have a new handle). Didn’t realize you guys were around back ...

Re: Canucks camp & preseason 2018/2019

If this is what a healthy Guddy looks like then I’m scared - he doesn’t only look bad, he looks Enrico Ciccone bad. Just awful out there. Not much positive from tonight’s game though the forwards have some good chances. The D continues to part like the Red Sea and cant get shots on net from the poin...

Re: Canucks camp & preseason 2018/2019

Juolevi doesn't look quite ready but I think he'll be a great addition later this season... What have you seen so far that makes you think Juolevi will be great later? He's a low-key guy, needs to learn how to play at the NHL pace but is smart and makes a very good first pass. He has been caught ou...

Re: Canucks camp & preseason 2018/2019

Nilsson is literally the tank commander in this regard , with both Marky/Nilsson in net, the team will be in tank mode once again, Demko is a couple years away from making any noise, on another note DiPietro seems more steady in net - cool as a cucumber. Seems like goaltending will be our weakness ...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Zack Smith on waivers - essentially the same player as Sutter. He's also much more physical than Sutter, and gets paid over $1 million less per season. He's a better player than Beagle who we just signed in FA. I know Ottawa is the tire fire of tire fires, but if Smith is literally worth nothing wh...

Re: 2018 Young Stars Tourny Pentiction

Wow - go away for a few weeks and the Benning crew is all back going nuts because of a couple of prospect games! Let's at least wait and see what happens in camp, then in exhibition, and maybe even the regular season before we annoint ol' Jimbo shall we? I don't read HF so can't comment on what's go...

Re: Trevor Linden is stepping down in VAN

Nice to see my buddy Strangelove is still throwing my name around here even when I’ve been away for a couple of weeks - he sure makes a guy feel loved. ;) My take on the Linden situation is it seems like much ado about nothing. Sure, perhaps he wanted the more patient, long term rebuild but it’s not...

Re: When will the Canucks Next make the playoffs

I said 2020-21, for a few reasons: 1) The young forwards need this year and next to start being productive at the NHL level. Boeser is hopefully a 1st liner long term, Horvat is a top end 2nd liner. Pettersson will hopefully join them as a young top 6 guy this year. Next year one or two of Dahlen, L...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

If Pettersson and Dahlén both make the team, it could be handy having a Swedish vet around to help them get acclimatized. Not saying he's the best option, just the only option right now. With 2 potential top 6 forwards coming over from a different culture and leagues, then I would hope Eriksson wil...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Is Dahlen really only a lipstick or a goalgoblin? Wouldnt he be much higher up the totem? I've been under the impression theres quite a bit more promise there. The other 2 are more or less on their last stab as canucks Dahlen is a better prospect than a Goldy or Leipsic. Doesn’t mean he will reach ...
