Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Obviously we take the best player available but adding a top winger in the Laine mold would be perfect for our top 6. That would give us two solid attacking lines. Still hoping that we can move Sutter or Edler/Tanev for another first round pick. Don't think we have any other tradeable assets that w...

Re: The Rebuild...

This team will be tiny in the future Petey is 165 Hughes is 160 Madden is 155 Razor Thin Olaf is 176 Stecher is 180 Sutter is 180 Eriksson is 180 Granlund is 180 Baertshi is 180 Motte is 170 That’s half the roster and the bigger guys like Horvat, Beaglet, Edler, Gudbranson and Virtanen don’t play e...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Forwards Krebs - get a real Konecny vibe from him, and that’s something I really like Byram - would likely be my pick if he’s there, but I don’t expect he will be unless Nucks pick 6-8 Peyton Krebs looks like a future solid top 6 scorer. *first-overall pick in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft. hg5_Bjnsq_k...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Thinking the pick will be 8-12 once all is said and done - technically the Canucks would be picking 11 if the season ended today and we used winning % rather than points, given the team has played more games than anybody to this point. I’d expect Hughes, Kakko, Cozens, Dach and Podkolzin to be gone ...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Pretty light schedule for the Canucks in January with only nine games. I’d assume by the end of the month the playoff picture might clear up a bit with the other teams making up games in hand on Vancouver. Even though it’s a down year for a lot of teams I still think the wildcard spots will take ab...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Not sure, Sportsnet put this out November 7th. I don't give those imbeciles at Sportsnet much stock I'm just providing a list of what names to expect to go in the 1st round. Dach right now is certainly ranked higher than Cozens. Newhook is too high, Byram and Broberg too low. You'll probably like t...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

I think we all know the D needs work, and quite a bit of it. Yes it's good that Hughes and Juolevi are coming, perhaps with one more top 2 guy drafted in the next draft or two they'll be good to go. The forwards have quite a few young guys still developing who could be contributors - Dahlen, Lind, J...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Some entertaining hockey being played - I for one am really enjoying it, and it’s most unexpected. Still have my doubts it will stay this way the rest of the year but I’m enjoying it while it lasts and hoping it does. Good on Green for adapting to the players he has, playing a much more offensive st...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

... I was truly hoping we had seen the last of Gaunce. I would rather have called up Dahlen (made him play wing) or Gadovich/Lind... made them play with Bo and made Grandlund play center... Didn't Schaller play center?? Dahlen is a decent pick, but he's not ready yet. Gadjovich can't even get into ...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

How is Myers in our lineup? Or is that wishful thinking... He'll be wanting yuuuuge bank. Is he worth 6+/yr? No he’s not, but he’s a youngish right side dman that is massive so he would be welcome. Jimbo likes to overpay his free agents so $6 million might be on the low side. If he goes after Myers...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

Rick Dhaliwal is saying Edler badly wants to stay and that Tanev is who the Canucks want to partner with Quinn Hughesnext season. If Edler refuses to waive, maybe let him walk and spend that money+ Del Zotto’s on a different d man. Maybe they can trade 44 while they are at it. Edler wants to retire...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Looks like good old Sutter is out again - he’s more injury prone than Sami Salo. Gives the kids more of a run though which is good. The good - Pettersson (duh), Bo has taken another step, Boeser starting to look a bit better, Virtanen is effective in fewer minutes than I would like, Hutton looks com...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

He got two games more than I thought he would. I am glad he was suspended.there will be debate about whether two games was enough, or too much. Not everyone will be pleased. Personally I will accept it. No amount of games can undo the hit or consequences but at least it is something. About what I e...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Hopefully now that we’ve all had a chance to hear Green speak there is a better understanding of what did, and did not happen. The players didn’t really know what happened on the play until after the game. Yes they knew he was hurt but none of then clearly saw the play. And Green said had it happen...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

The Gandhi shit needs to go, Diehard. It doesn’t work in the arena of gladiators. Sutter is just way too Vanilla, 2nd generation self entitled royalty through name. Vanilla is not what the kids coming in need to be influenced by. Gudbranson, he’s just collecting a cheque like Garrison. Again get ri...
