Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

What gets lost in this is that there is a difference in a cap dump, Marleau, and in making a hockey trade to move cap, Miller. Yes Tampa needed to move cap but they knew the had Callahan coming off the books so that took a lot of pressure off to just dump a player. And yes, there were a few other t...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

well i was mad, I was in the middle of working out a way to get Collin Miller here, (which I have). They deserved it anyways 47 points mostly on the third line is better than most of our forwards and he can play all 3 positions. If Vegas signs Karlsson to the contract they've rumoured to have signe...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

With Callahan on permanent LTIR, Tampa isn't up against the cap like everyone seems to think. Brisebois seemed to think they were "up against the cap" and made the move to clear cap space: "Eventually we were going to have to unload some players and unfortunately today was one of those days. We had...

Re: 2019 Draft Summary

Pods is a bit of a unicorn, could be a big, mean, scoring winger with ultra high compete if he hits his ceiling. This kind of unicorn I hope https://i0.wp.com/www.4ye.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/tumblr_ph2h5qPYA91x43oq3o4_r1_540.gif That's the hope - whether he gets there or not is now up to h...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Fair point, but as per usual with Jimbo once he gets a player in mind he pays more than anybody else would regardless of the circumstances. He overpaid for Guddy who was a disaster, he overpaid for Linden Vey who was also terrible, he overpaid for Brandon Sutter who has been below average at best, ...

Pyatt is 32, Perron is 23.

Keeping Utica age compliant..
Problem is Perron needs waivers so might not get to Utica.

Re: 2019 Draft Summary

Great summary Corn, well done. As per usual I like Jimbo’s drafting. Pods is a bit of a unicorn, could be a big, mean, scoring winger with ultra high compete if he hits his ceiling. Those guys are impossible to find. Swing for the fences with a guy I never thought they would pick, I like it. Hogland...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Ricky - the point he is making has sweet fuck all to do with this years pick. Many fans believe it is an over payment for Miller, especially since Tampa was up against the cap so most fans think he could of paid less to get him. The truth is that we will never know how many teams were trying to tra...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouve

Fixed the last part of your post for ya Doc. You just dont want to acknowledge the fact that your 'genious Jim' is NOT a crafty/smooth/shrewd operator when it comes trades or resource mgt (good at drafting for sure... usually). The likelihood of mr. B acquiring a first from somewhere is right up th...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

I’m not happy with this trade. Benning has drafted some good 1st rounders. Now he gives one away when we are still a long way away from being a contender. I am in disbelief right now. I thought we were seeing progression from JB in his asset management - instead it is right back to overpaying with ...

So I guess no upgrades to the D except through FA, I guess that is a good thing.
He could still get that 1st back in another trade; right?
He otta
Hockey trades Jimbo getting a pick back? I will believe it when I see it.

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Miller is a far better player who can move and uses his teammates. Sutter is a zero assist type of center. No comparison Miller is a playmaker who is very fast, can play both ways well. Sutter is the worst playmaker in the league. No comparison. A 1st is insane though, 2nd line wingers don’t get mu...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

A lot more than him, we include a 1st in 2020 or 2021 Fuuuck not a 1st. Fuck. Benning needs to quit making trades I suppose he sees the rebuild complete. Its the inly reason you sell off a 1st rounder Plus our third in 2019 JT Miller is a very good pick up, but this is a huge price. Jimbo overpays ...
