Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

I’m poaching again from Carol Schram. Anyway, she posted an interesting site, Hockey Graphs. One they they do is predict future FA signings. Here’s the link for the Class of 2019. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15E1qqh3OfHvvhbv_pICfKT7VR1jJEVhWQOyKviWLN54/htmlview#gid=707766415 They have Boe...

I think we should go to the marijuana leaf as our logo.
Wow you want to completely freak Tryamkin out, don't you? :scowl:
Forgot about that. He'd hate it here now. Since we've legalized the bud the whole city smells of skunk.

The reason we change jerseys is to make money. But the water boy has always had a dislike for the whale.

I think we should go to the marijuana leaf as our logo.

Re: 2018-2019 Stanley Cup Finals

Funny, when Benning joined the Canucks Lucic was very vocal about being sad he was going. He credited Benning, more than Chiarelli, in building the team. He said they wouldn't have won the Cup without all the work Benning did and that the work he did went under appreciated. Said he would be missed i...

Carol Schram did an interesting piece on comparisons for Hutton’s next contract.

“Will Esa Lindell's $5.8 million cap hit impact RFA Ben Hutton's next deal?”

I put this here because I enjoy exploding heads.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

JD officially steps down in Columbus then signs with NYR as their new President.

This really may have been the last attempt for Columbus for awhile.

2018-2019 Stanley Cup Finals

Boston versus ???? Whoever it is i’ll Cheer for them. Well maybe not, I hate SJS. Hell, no one left for me to cheer for. Might be in Russia for part of the finals, depending upon how long they go. I’ll speak to Trymankin while I’m there. I’ll be in Poland for the draft so I’ll have to read all about...

Re: 2019 offseason

I’d rather we develop our own Ferland type. The guy has a lot of wear on him and will command too much I fear. Maybe we can find somebody with one of those 6 round picks we have.

Hughes looked good. Woo is trending well. Juolevi was looking good but we still don’t know what we’ve got. Rathbone is trending well. But we still are a long long way from proclaiming any of them sure fire NHLers let alone top four. I like were we are heading and how we look but I’ll still hold my b...

Re: The Bubbles and Dud review every GM move thread

Well I think the point is that Benning has done a decent job keeping picks, even though he has trade a slew he has recovered a slew. Sure it could be better but it’s not as dire as some would suggest.

Yes, the NHL gifted us a 2nd. Let’s not count that though.

“We are very pleased to see Brendan continue in his role as President of the Toronto Maple Leaves,” MLSE Chairman Larry Tanenbaum said in a press release. “Brendan’s positive impact on this team has not only been felt on the ice, where the team is on an impressive path, but throughout the league, wi...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

If Podkozlin falls to us the Canucks should draft him. He is gonna fall because he’s locked in to a 2 year contract with the KHL but the kid is an excellent player who should be drafted top 5. How far he falls who knows. It would be a gift if he falls to us. We are gonna have to wait two years for ...
