Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

So we take the best skater in the draft with the first pick, what does Jim have up his sleeve for tomorrow? Be nice to deal some dead weight and pick up some more picks Maybe a little dynamo that can do a triple salchow. I'm surprised you are so disturbed by this pick. You've been pinning for a qua...

Rumour is he’s looking to take a centre in the 2nd round.

I’m ok if he gets picks for 2019. Draft party!!

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

Interesting, Hughes plays both left and right. Plays where he's needed. Played as a leftie last season because the team had an abundance of righties. See pros and cons to both and his offensive game/moves shift depending upon what side he is on. Other rumours, Benning is focused on a centre in the 2...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

Quinn Hughes believes he can play for Canucks 'right now' https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/quinn-hughes-believes-can-play-canucks-right-now/ How can this not make you smile. I'm betting Canucks sign him to his ELC. They need the hype to sell tickets. If he can't crack the Canucks he can develop i...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

With the trade today that the Caps made they will sign Carlson. I’m betting he is off the market. JT will decide in the next 24 hours if he will do his city visits next week. If I’m him, unless the Islanders knock his socks off, I’m doing the city visits. Even then, money is not his number one prior...

Re: 2018 NHL DRAFT - Who does JB take.

I think a lot of people didn’t vote for Hughes because they didn’t think he’d be available.

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

So does Hughes go back to college, he feels he’s NHL ready, or does he sign and play in Utica? Some feel that Hughes can play in the NHL next season. Word is they are not overly concerned about academics and want to be in the NHL sooner than later. Quinton did play in the recent worlds. He’s smart ...

Not really. Actually skill is far more important than size.
Doesn't that depend on the position ?

No, the trigger doesn’t need size.
