Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

From SportsNet

Edmonton Oilers defenceman Andrej Sekera will be out indefinitely after undergoing surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon.

The Oilers said on Twitter that Sekera was injured during an off-season training session.

Now that they are down another Dman.......just saying.

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Although they won’t get top dollar return I agree with Blob they could get 3 1sts and three top prospects at a minimum for those three. Problem is that teams trading for any of those three won’t be teams with lottery picks. Allegedly Tampa offered a 1st, a 2nd, Foote plus a roster player for Karlsso...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Ottawa had the option, this year or next to surrender their first. They chose to pick baby taychook this year. It would boggle the mind, in an attempt to recover a 1st for 2019, they trade the player they picked in 2018.

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

As part of kicking off next year’s ticket drive I have heard that the Canucks want to have some sort of draft weekend part(ies). I imagine that will include having at least one 1st round pick. I can’t see Benning going into a home draft by trading his 1st. I’m with Blob, and many others, I’d love to...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

There must be some astrological phenomena happening right now. The alignment of Dude and Blob. Is Dude in the House of Blob or is Blob in the House of Dude? Is one ascendant and the other descendent? Whatever it is, we have seen historically it passes and chaos derision returns. About now they begin...

I kept reading “engaged”. It made me laugh. Then I realized it was “enraged” and I laughed harder.

Thanks for the chuckle Blob!!

Re: What to do with Hughes

It sure is nice to be excited by some of our prospects. I warmed to the fact we selected Juolevi and am cautiously optimistic. I’ve always been high on Demko. I liked the pick up of Dahlen from Ottawa. I’ve been excited about Petterson but cautiously so. But Hughes, he has me wet!! Just don’t tell h...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Flames fans are enraged at Ryan Kesler for his comments to Ryan Johansen over at Bountiful. Something tells me Johansen probably laughed it off but that messagboard is right pissed about this. That’s too funny. That message board is so obsessed with all things Canuck, and ex-Canuck. I kind of feel ...

Re: What to do with Hughes

By the score sheet it looks like someone was going after the Hughes boys at the end of the game. Also looks like baby Tkachuk
will follow in his brothers footsteps with his intent to injure penalty.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Senators sign Stone to a one-year, $7.35M contract . He's a UFA next summer, and cannot negotiate an extension until January 1. Sens could lose Karlsson, Duchene and Stone next July 1, and have no 1st round pick (Colorado). What a mess. Sticking with the Sens, an arbitrator awarded Codi Ceci $4.3M....
