Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Depends I guess on whether Chiarelli only wants to part with the 10th OA. If he is intent on that then he may have to settle for a second pairing guy. For Nashville to move on from PK he needs D back. Hanafin for the 10th plus something a lot less than RNH or Tanev plus something for the 10OA plus s...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Tired of trading away former 1st round picks, Chiarelli today confirmed they are dangling the 10 OA for a top rated Dman. Said they have had talks with a few teams but the price is high, higher than just the 10 OA.

Brock doesn’t win. No surprise. A worthy winner was chosen.

One last trophy. The twins take home the King Clancy Award. Kinda predictable but good on them.

Re: Canucks News and Notes 2017-2018

Sounds like Boucher camp was demanding a one-way. Benning doesn't budge. The kid has absolutely no bargaining power, so Benning says you wanna get paid? Earn a spot in Vancouver *Of note: RB's last contract was a one-year, one-way deal. A two way makes it more likely he would get picked up on waive...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

In this trade it seems everyone won. Ottawa got a respectable player back and rid themselves of a problem. Florida got a respectable LW for a handful of picks, none of which were a first. SJS cleared cap and landed a handful of picks to boot. All three teams had different goals and they seemed to ac...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

. Makes me wonder if they’d be willing to trade back to 7th? If the Canucks make that trade, who would you want at #3? If Kotkaniemi gets drafted at his ranking, he could even be available at the NYI 11/12 picks. That might be a worthwhile trade for NYI to trade up for an elite winger, but I don't ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

He’s a 40 point player who is 23 and plays with some bite. I would take Max Domi all day at 3 million. We have a curly haired slug who gets 30 points and doesn’t bite hard enough to break skin. We pay him 6 million. I haven’t heard of any attitude issues with Maxmillian. I heard he was a diabetic w...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Habs sign Domi to a 2 year, 6.3 million dollar contract. Cap 3.15 per.

Given his fall off the past two seasons, his reported attitude/behavioural issues, his total lack of defence, I'd say Domi hit a home run. Huge overpayment at this point in his career. Desperation to sell the deal?

Re: Canucks News and Notes 2017-2018

I've posted a few times about that. Trade him to a team that is concerned about the bottom line? After July 1st his average salary works out to just $3.5M-per (with a $6M cap hit of course). Loui is an elite experienced defensive forward ... who is still capable of providing secondary scoring in th...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Holy crap! I will now proceed to call myself out for making an uninformed post. I'm reading this weird stats sheet and I glanced at the penalty minutes. https://en.khl.ru/players/17594/ A one game suspension in Oct followed by 2 games in Dec as a repeat offender. His offence, unsportsmanlik...
