Re: Closing out the season (2018/19)

I guess the lesson on Tanev is this, if you are contemplating trading him next season do so early, he will be hurt by TDD. He's likely a summer trade, assuming Hughes looks ready during his upcoming audition later this year. I can't see Jimbo re-signing Tanev with the guys that will be arriving ove...

Surprise ; Matthew Sekeres @mattsekeres 27m27 minutes ago Name to keep an eye on with the #Canucksat at #NHLTradeDeadline is prospect W Jonathan Dahlen (acquired from Ottawa for Alex Burrows two years ago). My understanding is Canucks have shopped him, soured on him a bit after seeing him in his fi...

Boeser was gassed and quit out there. It started from who? Lil' Trojan Boeser and Pettersson we’re heading to the bench but stayed when Stetcher got the puck and began to transition. Then they got caught. They needed to head off. It was selfish. They’ve done it before on OT and once it worked and t...

Pettersson threw a nice hit there. I love how he chases down his turnovers.

Perspective:

The most wins Markstrom has had in a season is 22. He has 22 now. For us to make the playoffs he will have to have 30++ wins.

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Michael Leighton Cleared waivers, now Utica’s starter. As soon as he cleared Philly put McKenna on waivers, he cleared today. Philly held onto him hoping for a pick. Good on Benning turning elsewhere rather than be squeezed. Ya it resulted in having to start Dipietro but I’d rather he gave up our 7...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Agree. Two years on Edler at a rich contract, or more than two at chump change with not trade protection. If that is not acceptable he should move on at the trade deadline. If he hasn't signed or waived his NTC by the trade deadline, I'd take the offer offer of the table and not sign him in the sum...

Silfverberg signs a new contract with the Ducks, 5 years at 5.25 per annum.

I work in the same office as his brother. I think he earns less than that... :|
Hard not to like that deal though.
