Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Miller (6'1", 218lb) put up nearly identical numbers to Bo Horvat (6', 215) until buried in Tampa depth last year. He and Bo are similar size and on similar contracts (Miller is $250K/yr cheaper than Bo with the same # yrs left on his deal). Miller returns to top 6 position he held with the Rags. M...

Two years from (2021-2022) now we could have a starting 6 of Myers, Barrie and Woo. Hughes,Juolevi and Trymankin. Hughes and Juolevi will need new deals then.

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

Barrie would be the best possible dman that i can think of to improve that back end (who have been rumoured about). That would've been my choice for that 1st rounder if it was ever an option...which it sounds like wasnt enough for BBY Joe. What will he cost after next year? I've heard 8 for 6 or 7....

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

What gets lost in this is that there is a difference in a cap dump, Marleau, and in making a hockey trade to move cap, Miller. Yes Tampa needed to move cap but they knew the had Callahan coming off the books so that took a lot of pressure off to just dump a player. And yes, there were a few other te...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

well i was mad, I was in the middle of working out a way to get Collin Miller here, (which I have). They deserved it anyways 47 points mostly on the third line is better than most of our forwards and he can play all 3 positions. If Vegas signs Karlsson to the contract they've rumoured to have signe...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

Vancouver can’t trade their 2020, 1st. It’s already been traded conditionally. And they can’t trade their 2021 1st until we know if they’ll lose their 2020 one. Getting Barrie won’t involve 1st now. Kipper reporting that Barrie has already let the media know he wants to play in VCR when he hits FA....

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

JT Miller 3 goals in 61 playoff games How many assists? This chat is embarrassing. Throwing a defense man under the bus before he gets here because we gave up our first round pick in one of two years of which we will not be a lottery team and even if we were, we'd lose as always and might I just fu...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

But lets leave out the part where it cost the leaves a 1st rounder to dump Marleau and they still have cap concerns. And they still have to ice a defence. You’re right Tuna, it’s hilarious.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Cap problems, what cap problems: “Ryan Callahan will be placed on long-term injury reserve with degenerative disc disease of the lumbar spine, Tampa Bay Lightning vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced Thursday. Recommended to not play professional hockey again due to the cond...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

I’m liking their 40th pick. Another promising Swede. And Another Canucks trade: they were set to select in the fourth round at 102, but traded the pick to Buffalo for picks 122 and 175. There’s little pick value difference at this point so this is just a chance to add another prospect. In the shade ...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Hoping Benning can move some players out now. We need D. At least if we miss the playoffs next year we keep our first. No way it will be a lottery pick in 2021. Got a lot of reasons to cheer for making the p,ayoffs now and not tanking, at least after next season  I like Miller and he will h...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

I’m not happy with this trade. Benning has drafted some good 1st rounders. Now he gives one away when we are still a long way away from being a contender.
