Ericksson invited, and has accepted, an invitation to play for Sweden in the upcoming World's. Maybe he will find his game.

Re: 2019 offseason

Benning hasn't done as badly in FA as some paint. Schaller, bad but one year left. Ericksson terrible. Gagne, gone but we have to deal with Spooner now. Burmistrov, gone, cost us next to nothing. Stanton, gone. I like Beagle, Roussel. Vrbata was not bad, Miller was great, Vannick was good. Nilsson w...

Re: 2019 offseason

Keep the fantasy drivel to the fantasy thread please. Well in fairness to Mr Skyo, the Opening Post set the example by fantasizing about Myers or Gardner. In fact the OP's example fantasy was so wild it imagined getting them at "5-6 million for 3-5 years"!! We need DEPTH and value contracts. ...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

I keep remembering, I’m not cheering for Boston to win, I’m cheering for Toronto to lose. The moment this series is over, no matter the winner, I’m cheering for Columbus round two.

Re: 2019 offseason

They have a golden chip to play in demko or marky. Demko will bring in more but the team could go either way...one of those 2 assets should be in play to bring in a younger dman who can play in a legitimate NHL top 4. The winger issue could be addressed through free agency or another trade. I would...

Toronto remains Canada's only hope.

Vancouver was once too. Meant shit all for the hate we got from the rest of Canada.

If Toronto is our only hope we are doomed.

Re: 2019 offseason

I am a little bit concerned about Free Agency this coming summer with Elmer having a lot of cap space. This team can ill afford another Eriksson type blunder. I hope there is truth to the Aquilinis looking to bring in an experienced hockey guy in a President of Hockey Operations position. They need...

Re: 2018-2019 Playoffs - Round 1

Watching Johnny Hockey pout, complain and whine throughout this series was embarrassing. He should be ashamed of himself. He looked frustrated, dejected, and had no second gear to suck it up and push through. He quit on so many plays throughout the series. He just stopped trying at times and acted l...

Now he intrigues me. Size, speed, skating, skill, points. Plays all three forward positions and draws Rick Nash comparisons. Ranked best professional prospect? Why is he not ranked higher?

And to think the Avs have the 4th overall pick and 16th overall pick

They are for real. And ya, they are going to add some good pieces.

I’m so happy.

This game isn’t even close. Flames are so out classed.

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Full melt down on Cowpuke. They want everyone traded, I mean everyone. Johnny a whiner, spends too much time complaining. No heart. Afraid to get hit. Monahan too slow, not a gamer. Avoids contact. Taychook too slow for the playoffs. Great in the regular season but disappears when the speed and int...
