Re: The Great Jim Benning Debate!
I think at first when Benning started he came in guns blazing, no attachment to any players at all and in all likelihood was hired to bring the franchise back from the dead! And to that effect he did, he got the team back into the playoffs, however enter the Flames and Ferland whom destroyed our pa...

Re: The Rebuild...
After losing 4 in a row, we are now 7 points behind Calgary for 8th, and 6 behind LA who is in 9th. The Democrats, Republicans and Trump all agree our playoff hopes are over. Can we finally start selling ???? Man, we were right there and we had a good chance, but in the month of January we had some...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
You're both wrong, but you're both right. :? Marner, Mathews and Nylander are excellent, high end prospects that every team would want, no doubt about that ... the rest of the prospects mentioned are equivalent to most NHL teams' prospects at this point...lots of upside but still unproven. Almost li...

Re: The Great Jim Benning Debate!
To me, this trade deadline is crucial and will tell us a lot about the courage and vision of Benning and Linden. We are not a playoff team...that's obvious now. IMO they MUST try and trade Burrows, Miller and Hansen. I love Hansen but he's our most valuable asset...he should be able to get a good d...

Re: Canucks Young Guns
Sigh..... some people just don't get it. This is the first year since I can remember that I have turned off a Canucks game. I hate watching this team and I have endured plenty of shit Canucks teams in my time but never have I seen such a collection of wimps all dressed for the same team...it seems ...

That would be just fine by me. Anything at this point is better than the nothing we get for him July 1st.

Flames called up Shink yesterday. I hope we were wrong and Lindenning was right.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
I was at the Oiler's game last night and you could literally feel the life was sucked out of the building when McDavid never came back for the 3rd. It's totally understandable why they put all of their eggs in one basket, but it's awfully dangerous having all of your hopes and dreams resting on one ...

Re: TV Shows: What are you watching?
I recently tried True Blood and really liked it to about the fourth season and kind of gave up on it. I've been recording season 2 of True Detective but haven't started it yet. Has anyone watched Ballers? It's surprisingly pretty good. I'm still not sold on the Rock's acting ability but this is his ...

Re: TV Shows: What are you watching?
The Wire is one of, if not the, best programs HBO has ever televised. Well a carpenter once told me.... Based on that, I'll give it a solid four episode try. edit: after I somehow get the US netflix. PM me! What about the 100 or community? I only have a few weeks left before I'm back to t...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Prout could have absolutely destroyed him after that initial KO punch. Yeah, looks like Prout held back after he KOed Luc. Lucic ... what a POS (to quote our starting goalie).... He goes after Prout, Prout reluctantly obliges and makes him look like Bambi on ice. Pout could have fed him his lunch a...
