Re: OOTS; 2019-2020

I know you all hate Tkachuk, but his OT goal against the Preds tonight with just over a second left, was an absolute beauty.

Re: OOTS; 2019-2020

Don't get me wrong - I'm not a Lucic fan, and I hate the fact that Neal is doing well in Edmonton. I wasn't fan of the trade and had zero expectations from Lucic. So going by that, anything positive that he does for the team (like big hits) is a bonus. As for Neal, let's see what he does over the wh...

Re: OOTS; 2019-2020

How has been pretty good? He can barely move anymore He looked fine to me. He's not a top line guy - he's on the 4th line. He's been very physical and useful - much to my surprise. Also, his skating isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Anyway, hope Neal scores more than 21 goals - then the Flames...

Re: OOTS; 2019-2020

Neal 4 goals tonight and Kassian with another goal Looks like the coilers are off to a very good start Meanwhile Lucic hasnt even touched the puck 4 times this year. Anything that hurts the lames makes me happy Lucic has actually been pretty good for the Flames. I'm not complaining about him. As fo...

Re: OOTS; 2019-2020

Sound's like Frolik was piss poor last night - ditto for Jankowski. Unfortunately, their trade value is minimal at best. Flames need another top 6 forward, but it will cost them at least one of their D men. Good for Looch for stepping up. The Avs have moved to the top of my hate list - little bitches.

Re: OOTS; 2019-2020

I'm not hedging my bet on this one - I really think that the Avs have a better team than the Flames, in spite of the Flames being out for blood. I don't get this game on TV, so I'm just checking the scores on line once in a while.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Another thing on the Lucic trade, while he agreed to waive his NMC to go to Calgary, Calgary had to agree to abide by his NMC moving forward. In other words he still has a full NMC. He will be required to be protected in the expansion draft however there is plenty of time to convince him to waive i...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

wouldn't it be ironic if Neal gets 60+ points. This is one of my biggest fears. Apparently there is only a 10% salary retention by Edmonton, which is not nearly enough. Also hearing that there isn't even a conditional draft pick involved. Fuck Treliving - what the fuck - was he drunk when he made t...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

This one is a head scratcher. Neal has 4 years left at $5.75M. Looch has 4 years left at $6M. Neal stands a better chance of keeping up with Edmonton's top-6 forwards in terms of speed, but that's about it. I feel like Calgary is making out like gangbusters here. They get stronger, scarier (in the ...

Re: 2019/20 Pacific Division

On Calpuck, they are claiming that Lucic has been traded to Calgary for Neal. There is probably more involved, including salary retention by the Oilers for Lucic. On the face of it, I hate this trade. There better be something more to it, otherwise, this is the worst trade Treliving has made since b...

Re: 2019/20 Pacific Division

From my view point, I think they need another first line player on offense, and a decent goalie, before I would consider them to be a deep playoff team. As good as Gaudreau is, I don't think he is the type of player you build around - he is more of a guy that is added to a true franchise player (ie ...
