And it may not be close.
Too bad he is a douchebag. Another reason to hope Vegas screws the pooch in the next 4.

Re: Free Agency 2026

Money and ice-time both talk with loud voices. A good point here - perhaps target some vet coming off a down/injury-plagued season who is looking for opportunities or ice time to get noticed for a final contract somewhere else but can steady the ship for a year and a half on a lucrative 2 year deal.

Love the optimism Donny!

Like a repeat of the 2017 draft, when EP40 fell into our lap - when some unlucky GM drafted Patrick.

I can only hope the leaves or SJ are dumb enough not to draft them.

Re: 2026 NHL Draft

UW's Post I agree with you that he wasn't the only problem, Management/Ownership first. The guys who had the issues, second. Leadership in the room distant third. For sure. He is a hell of a defensemen. No question. One of the league's very best. Since joining the Wild, I have seen in various ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft

I'd just say, I hope they've learned the lesson on drafting American-born players in the top 10. Lesson being that you might only get 6 years of the best defenseman in franchise history, a player whose presence solved “secondary scoring,” at 25+ minutes a night without a downgrade in play (meaning t ...

By "lied to me" - you mean you simply mis-read the information presented clearly on that site, right?

Re: 2026 NHL Draft

I'd just say, I hope they've learned the lesson on drafting American-born players in the top 10. BPA always beyond that. But if scouts are divided. Size. Size. Size. I'm assuming Toronto will take McKenna. No doubt in my mind there. SJ might draft for need, and take a defenseman - but they also have ...

No doubt. Hard to pressure a team that moves the puck that well.

Also a long break for a goalie.

Game #1 always seems to be a tough one for the team that sat for a while.

Game #5-7 are a different story.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Some interesting takes, read the interview with Linden earlier - and he had mentioned that he didn't feel like he and Benning were on the same page when speaking with ownership (duh), but then mentioned he didn't think that Rutherford and Alvin were either. (When asked about the Sedins and RJ being ...

Just seat warmers, until they come back - no way we could fill that spandex or that lawn.

You know they will. Manny as HC - heck might as well bring back Baumgartner for his 3rd go-round.

Maybe EP40 becomes the Temu-RNH, and has 15 years of futility, marred with 10 different coaches?
