so I guess the Daniel speedbagging should have earned us a 10-minute PP. That would have been interesting, considering there was only 1:31 left in the game. Oh yeah, and we were down by 3 fucking goals. I get your point, but people really need to let it go. The officiating was crap, but not because...

I assume the draft pick was one we gave up in the Ballard trade, but I am not certain, if so that's good news. Gillis values those draft picks more, never a bad thing Also puts MG in a position to tender an RFA offer sheet in 2013, if I understand correctly. I think it puts him in a position to ten...

From The Globe & Mail:
Gillis also said that he wasn’t concerned with the remaining term on Booth’s contract -- three years and $13.75-million (all currency U.S.) -- and he has long been a favourite of Canucks chairman Francesco Aquilini.
Meddling? Yeesh, I hope not.

I think it is pretty laughable to think that a potential UFA's would view Sturm's trade as a deciding factor on not wanting to play here. I think, even they, would see that he's sucked balls. YOu also have to believe that Gillis isn't stupid and he talked to Sturm and told him he was going to get h...

At face value (and based on MG's comments), this move would also seem to indicate that the Canucks don't believe CoHo is ready. Along with moving out Sturm, that seems like two hasty decisions to me. I don't think this deal speaks to Hodgson's readiness at all. Sturm and Sammy were earning big mone...

So many subplots for a deal involving marginal 2nd liners! -Surprised Gillis would deal Sturm so quickly after signing him. A (minor) red flag for future UFA's looking at Vancouver? -Also surprised Sammy would get traded when the coaching staff so obviously considers him an important component on th...

The KB3/4 defensive pairing shakes my confidence in AV as a coach. Both these guys like to take risks/ be aggressive (more than Hamhuis & Salo), and (KB3/4) benefit from pairing with a more defensely focused D. I hope it goes well, but it could end badly, and hurt Ballard's progress. There has been...

http://www.vancouversun.com/sports Also glad Tanev got sent down. I know he is ready to play in the NHL but he has things to work on and we can afford to let him do that. ...and how great is it to see the Canucks in a position to do that with a legitimately NHL-ready 21 year old  Love the ...

If Kes is 100% and depending how the higgy-kes-coho line works, I wouldn't mind sending CoHo to the minors for a few months to let him work on his game. Maybe give sammy or marco a chance with higgy/kes. You know, I was of the same opinion at the end of training camp. But I've been impressed by how...
