Re: Canucks Young Guns

OJ developing well in Utica. Ryan Johnson on Juolevi: I'm extremely happy. This is the best I've seen Olli in a sense of level of engagement. He's aggressive. We know what kind of hockey sense he has, but he's being physical. He's being engaged in the games, with his teammates. He's playing anywhere...

Re: Goaltending

I don't know, but maybe winning the world championship last spring gave Nilsson the confidence boost necessary to take his game to the next level? Looking good so far! 8-) That and working with goalie coach Ian Clark has probably helped Nilsson fix the little nuances in his game to help track the p...

Gotta say the vets are consummate pro's and earning their cheques, Sutter, Roussel, Schaller types, just solid NHLer's, smart, heady, hard workers. The young vets flashing their skills from time to time, like Baertschi, Granlund, Virtanen, Horvat and of course Boeser the sniper, he's a pure natural ...

Our #1C and depth C injured this season and we still have Horvat, Sutter, Gaudette and Grans down the middle.

Last year in December we had Gagner, Chaput and Dowd down the middle.

Forgot about the big fella 6'2 210lbs Gadjovich, hope he gets more games in Utica as they are stacked with players so he isn't getting in every game yet, only 2 games played.

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Kind of excited to see Gaudette tonight.. hope he slots in well. Should be an interesting change to the way the second line looks. Little more banging out there. Yeah he'll bring the same youthful energy to the team, here is where it's nice to have quality prospects ready to play in pros' thanks to...

Re: Goaltending

I find the best goalies to acquire are youngerish developed goalies stuck behind a top tier #1 who has a big contract, consequently he's locked in for the long haul and the younger goalie requires a bigger contract that the team cannot afford. Former examples are Antti Raanta behind Lundqvist, Marti...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Gagner has 6 points in 5 games with the Marlies (and is -4 to boot). Maybe, with enough injuries in the league, someone decides to make Benning an offer ??? Likely happen towards the trade deadline when Gagner's cap hit is more affordable and the team loses some contracts July 1st so they can affor...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

He got two games more than I thought he would. I am glad he was suspended.there will be debate about whether two games was enough, or too much. Not everyone will be pleased. Personally I will accept it. No amount of games can undo the hit or consequences but at least it is something. After Kadri bo...

Re: Canucks @ Panthers 7:00 PM ET SN1, FS-F

Imagine if the team added Nick Ritchie and Tryamkin to the team.

Ritchie, Tryamkin, Gudbranson, Schaller, Virtanen.
With pesky dude Roussel.

That's the 2011 bruins toughness right there.

I'd be scared to crunch EP to the boards without vast repercussions to yourself and your teammates.
