Re: Young Stars Tourney

Ahh... I'm kicking myself for not watching the game. Does anyone have a digital version of it?
If you jump on the Canucks channel on Youtube the games are there in full.

Re: 2014 UFA Offseason

With the obvious Boston connection I wonder if Boston were to value Iginla over Eriksson there might be something that could work there - maybe even including Boychuk? Haven't crunched any numbers but you'd think that would free Boston up some cap room while giving us something useful.

Re: 2014 UFA Offseason

Could be an interesting few days. In this clip (2min 50s) Linden talks of the Canucks being an attractive team for other teams looking to clear some salary - could be more trades coming rather than a big free agent signing.

Re: NHL Lowers the Boom on Hanzal!!!

Don't forget, it was called a "high stick" in the ruling not a cross check (to the face).

This alone probably indicates NHL discipline is done via box scores rather than watching the footage of the game.

Re: Paul Devorski

Devorski overreacted - Canucks didn't handle it well - would have been a non issue if we'd been able to score some goals. Has Devorski got a hate on for the Canucks? I'd like to think he's just going through a slump and it's simply a case of two slumping forces colliding. Then again, this is a repre...

We've definitely got a few chickens on the team (Garrison - does he ever take a hit to make a play) and a few eggs (Weise - hello, anyone in there?). Smart teams would know when enough was enough wouldn't they?

Re: Paul Devorski

In the last few games I've noticed we seem to be chirping a lot more - in the Ducks game I couldn't help but feel if we just shut up we'd probably have got a few more breaks - I also wondered in that game why there were two refs because it was the Devorski show in both games. The ref is meant to be ...

This is a pretty good take on it from Kerry Fraser:
