Re: Canucks Young Guns

Brock's shot is absolutely lethal, but that clip isn't even a display of this. His ability so slow the pace down and set himself up is a skill you just can't teach. Once he reaches his playing weight and improves his quickness, the sky is the limit for this kid. He's pretty special. It's exciting wh...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

Bo, Gaunce and Hutton are the only players left that were drafted by the last regime. If you include the entire league, Connauton and Schroeder round out the abysmal era that was Gillis & co. 37 draft picks over six entry drafts and only one single legitimate player. Absolutely appalling.

This is obviously a huge promotion for RC. Hard not to wonder if his departure had anything to do with Linden leaving too.

Blocking certain users to bypass the bullshit isn’t always an option, since not all users are “blockable”.

Too much derailment on every interesting thread. Summer or no, the ‘mods’ need to do there job or be asked to step down.

If true, I wonder what Bergiven had offered up.

Re: Canucks Contracts

Or,

We could see how he handles the inevitable adversity he’s bound to face given more enhanced checking and potential physical set-backs coming off wrist surgery and back rehab.

That was a nasty collision.

No rush

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Hughes wanted to play in Van this year. It was Management, the coaching staff and likely his father that encouraged him to return to Michigan for one more year. In the end, he made the right choice and now he’s letting his Wolverine mates know he’s coming back to lead them to the promised land. Noth...

Re: Trevor Linden is stepping down in VAN

Any info out there on what Trevor's contract status was? Was his original deal with the AIG not for 4 years?

Re: Trevor Linden is stepping down in VAN

Puck drop is two months from now. Plenty of movement throughout the league will take place before then.

Re: Trevor Linden is stepping down in VAN

I look forward to some serious summer news coming outta the Rog that is actually hockey related.

It'll boost morale for training camp, and put this nonsense behind us.

Tick tock Jim, you're on the clock.

Re: Trevor Linden is stepping down in VAN

So what’s the major trade here BOS? He has no assets to move other than Horvat, Petterson, Hughes Boeser or Demko or next years 1st. That’s it. Stay the course and rebuild. Tanev, Edler, Juolevi, and Gaudette are most certainly desirable assets that could be included in a package. Having a gaping w...

Re: Trevor Linden is stepping down in VAN

Benning is/was on board. It will be interesting to see how Benning handles things. Jim could win over the fans, ownership and the players by swinging for the fences and improving the team for both the short and long term. In four plus years on the job, Jim has yet to make a major trade. Every GM ma...

Re: Trevor Linden is stepping down in VAN

I am really curious to see who gets brought in. Could it be someone with clout? A new name? Or simply a re-shifting of the powers?

I mean really, aside from back-up Gov for Fran at the odd league meeting, what were his duties? (Powers?)

Interesting times await.
