Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

I love Karlsson but you’d have to gut the team to get him. I was a big proponent of acquiring him but would you be willing to trade one of Horvat/Boeser + Juolevi + 2018 7th overall pick? The Canucks just simply don’t have the depth. I wonder how mabel muppy feels about it Give em Gaudette instead ...

Re: Pick Your Winners. First round.

I'll keep with my bracket and throw out the games here: WPG in 6 VGK in 7 TBL in 5 PIT in 6 Hmm, interesting. Must've known Vegas was going to win, had SJ in my bracket but said Vegas here. Bracket is screwed now, no Vegas trip for me! 3/4 here isn't too bad. Round 4: WPG in 7 TBL in 6

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

I'd only want Evander Kane if he took a hometown discount because I do not want to allocate too much cap space on wingers , as we got Eriksson locked up for four more years and Boeser has one year left till he gets around $6M-$7M per after next season. If Kane signs for $6M-$6.5M per that added to ...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

$7M for 7 years for a 45 pointish guy, yes I know that it is not all about points. how effective will he be in what ever role we need him to be in when he is 29 - 33. Wait maybe he will be like the other boat anchor we have and be an elite PK guy. What will Boeser want? $8M - $9M. Unless he...

Re: Playoffs

Americans galore! Trust me. This isn't a shocking prediction, they do have 10x the population Canada does. With the addition of new markets hockey is just going to continue to grow and then it's only a matter of time. It will never hit the popularity of football or baseball but I could see a far mo...

Re: Playoffs

TYLER Myers born and raised in America. He’s Team Canada’s version of Adam Deadmarsh. Myers grew up in Calgary and played his hockey in Canada, much like Stastny was born in Canada but grew up and played his hockey in the US. While we’re at this wanna tell me how many Canadians are on the Vegas ros...

Over half the team Bubs, half the team!!!
10/23 is more than half now.

Tyler Myers is a Canadian
Yup, born in Houston, TX but plays for Team Canada.

So that would be 9/23 then.

Yeah, I think Brad has pushed it a bit too far with that one. Think he’s gone for the next one!

Works well for my TB in 5 prediction!

Interesting information Aaron (it is rare that anyone outscoops Per on info coming out of Sweden).
Give credit to BladesofSteel, he mentioned it to me! I just posted it here.

Re: WC 2018

Another wee tidbit mentioned to me by the great BoS, Elias took on Mika Zibanejad in a hardest shot competition the other day at practice. Elias lost but hit 157 km/h (97.5 mph) :wow:

Imagine when he puts another 15-20 lbs behind that!

Re: WC 2018

Up next, Pettersson centring the top line. What? I thought he wasn't going to be playing much! That’s what Fred said! ;) Not the first time, won't be the last! Can't wait to see Elias in a Canucks jersey next season. Honestly, the youthful injection could be a great thing for a couple of our...

Re: WC 2018

Yes, looks like Elias is on the right side. Playing with Backlund and Nyqvist is a great opportunity for him. Nyqvist's comment on Elias: ‏ @PatrikPetrin Elias Pettersson will be on Sweden's top line at the World Championships that starts tomorrow morning,he will be on a line with Mikael Backlund an...
