Fine but why waste money and contract slots on losers like Stewart and Cederholm?
Both these contracts expire this July do they not?

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018

I'm assuming natural grass plays into consideration as to where games are played. Cause Vancouver would draw higher ticket prices than Edmonton for sure!

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

Plus it gives us something to argue about, or at least have a discussion about. I think discussion is fantastic! Roster movement is fun and leads to great discussions and speculation about how better or worse teams will be. Tavares signing anywhere but NYI is going to change things in a big way for...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

I never understood arguing over the validity of a rumour. A rumour by definition isn't true, it's hearsay or speculation. If Tavares has stated he wouldn't mind playing in Canada I don't see why speculating about which Canadian franchises he ay be interested is shit. He's been playing where hockey i...

We tried to keep going with stone, furlongs, and fortnights Mick, but nobody was old enough to remember clearly what they meant.
Ah yes, back in the day when tenders used to barely clear 0.0085 furlongs!

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018

It's a whole new world out there, parents are so involved with their kids lives even as adults. Wait until you get a phone call from a parent asking why their kid didn't get the job they interviewed for, or calls in sick for their 21 year old child. Wonder where this entitlement comes from? The late...

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018

Our rural BC soccer assoc is steadfast in no compete soccer. No goalies or score keeping until U11. But when my son played, on the drive home he told me the score and who scored every goal for both teams. Bloody useless. He now races bicycles and because of a similar non compete at our local track,...

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018

Check out our women though. They are ranked, last I heard, around 10th or so. Should be 3rd or 4th. Yeah, I think that's what left me so confused. In women's football, Canada is always a contender. So it's hard to understand how the men could be so much worse. It's the seasons of play. Here in BC, ...

Re: Only 99 days

Horgan is playing both sides on this, he made a campaign promise to oppose the pipeline but the way he's spending and taxing he needs revenue growth badly so there's no doubt in my mind he wants that pipeline built.

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

If Bouchard is anything like Reinhart (besides the back) then there's no way he should get past us. That's exactly what we need! Although, Paul put up nearly 2 pts per game in his final year of junior so I'm not sure how accurate the comparison is. I was a little young at the time but I do still rec...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

I love Karlsson but you’d have to gut the team to get him. I was a big proponent of acquiring him but would you be willing to trade one of Horvat/Boeser + Juolevi + 2018 7th overall pick? The Canucks just simply don’t have the depth. I wonder how mabel muppy feels about it Give em Gaudette instead ...

Re: Pick Your Winners. First round.

I'll keep with my bracket and throw out the games here: WPG in 6 VGK in 7 TBL in 5 PIT in 6 Hmm, interesting. Must've known Vegas was going to win, had SJ in my bracket but said Vegas here. Bracket is screwed now, no Vegas trip for me! 3/4 here isn't too bad. Round 4: WPG in 7 TBL in 6
