Second in the K for Podkolzin. This one I like. https://twitter.com/fan2abby/status/122 ... 97568?s=21
Damn, he's gonna look good riding his ELC on Petey's wing.

Re: Canucks Young Guns

. Watch this one. It's not bad..... @DanielGScouting Canucks Vasily Podkolzin scored his first KHL goal on Jan 21st (2nd Vid). Hard working shift at 0:06. He harasses the puck carriers in the NZ, creates TOs, and finishes his check. Strong on skates at 0:44. Flyby at 1:07 creates a TO-two solid cha...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Loads of capspace... Doc is right. We might not have "loads" of cap, but, we do have enough. In previous years, we had lots of over-paid vets, and no useful ELC's. Going forward, we should have 4-5 guys on ELC's, or cheap 2nd contracts. 2021/22 might be kinds tight, but, even then, we still have en...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

I'm not so sure after two years of toiling in the K in empty arenas, flying sketchy planes, and not knowing if your team will make payroll while being treated pretty poorly, that Tryamkin would be so quick to run back there over the AHL. He'll be getting a big bump in pay, even if he's just making ...

Juolevi - 12 points over his last 11 games and a plus 12. There’s that plus/minus thing again that Doyle sometimes respects or doesn’t respect. It just depends on who you’re talking about. Very nice to see both Juolevi and Lind take big steps forward this year. We are going to need their ELC's once...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Mike McIntyre Mathieu Perreault just absolutely teed off on the NHL for taking no action against Jake Virtanen for elbowing him in the head last game. “Player safety my ass,” said the #NHLJets forward. And he had plenty more to say. #wfp 9:57 AM · Jan 16, 2020 from More Mathieu Perreault: “Now I’ve...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

McCann is also 4 years younger, plays multiple positions and makes a fraction of Pearson’s cap hit. Penguins also have three years of control beyond this one. Pearson has been a real good fit for this team because he's a two-way player with enough offense. People make fun of his empty netters, but ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

For sure need to be mindful of Markstrom's age. He has in all likelihood, 3-5 years left at peak. Barring injuries of course. But we also know that the expansion draft is coming up. We all know this. I could live with a three year deal around 6.5-7.5. A 5 year deal at 5.5-6. The shorter the deal th...

Loui is getting dragged around by Bo who has been playing great.
Yup. Bo will make a 3rd liner out of Loui yet, I tells ya. :D

Berkshire of the opinion that it's time for Montreal and Carey Price to part ways. Interesting thought actually, it's not because Price is a problem, rather that it would be the most fair to the player in this situation to give him a fresh start somewhere else. Personally I can't see it happening u...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Stetch's big claim to fame is that he is a serviceable #6 d-man who doesn't really suck any worse when he gets forced up the depth chart due to injuries. He's a "C" as a 3rd pairing guy, and only drops to a "D+" when he has had to play top pairing due to injuries in the past. I'd be happy with him ...
