Re: 2025 Canucks Off-season

Sign Kuznetsov, dump Chytil... The guy who retired after the 2024 season? Bring back Dank instead. We know they are in shape. He didn't retire, he went back to Mother Russia on a 4-year deal. (averaged a point per game in an injury-ravaged season) The fact the KHL has already seen enough of him ...

Meh! It looks like the Coilers traded O'Reilly (with a higher ceiling) for a guy who is hopefully ready to play 4th line minutes. Of course, the Coiler faithful are saying he's gonna outscore Matthews.... :D

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

We can carry Silovs easily enough right now without any more trades. Imo, keep him until the season starts. His value will only go up as injuries pile up around the league Hey, what is Florida's schedule in October? They were breaking a goalie every series. If they keep it up, they just build Silovs ...

Re: 2025 Canucks Off-season

Bottom 6 plus 3 players that are not quit top six so middle 9. The way I look at it is the finalists this year and last year were a competition between a Selke built team vs a Art Ross built team and the Selke team won both times... That should give the Canucks hope in that they would be considered ...

BTW, just because you have a "kuzzy" tattoo on your inner thigh from that other russian dude is no reason for bringing in Kuznetsov

Sounds like corn hole is a game best played without a judge. I assume they are either walking, or signing league minimum contracts.

Re: Free Agent "Frenzy" Day

At some point we have to see what we have in Raty. This is the year to let him prove himself. A centre may come free into the season. Maybe not. But lets not rush it. HW, if you listen to the media 2/3 of league are looking for a #2 C. A trade will be damn expensive and any UFA will damn expensive ...

Re: Free Agent "Frenzy" Day

[ I don't think anyone is counting on Cootes to be a 2C any time soon - if ever. I expect he will be in 4 or 5 years. A few games in year 3. 30 games year 4 as a 4th liner, and 60 games year 5 as a mostly ready 2/3 center. Then, 17 more years as a #2 center (40 is the new 32??? Lol). Seriously, a ...

Screw buying out anyone. Play Chytil until he breaks (hopefully he doesn’t) and then use his LTIR space to pay a replacement.

Re: Free Agent "Frenzy" Day

Pius signs in St. Louis. 2 years, $4M AAV. Guess Allvin couldn't clear the space. It is an excellent fit for the player and the Blues, IMO. Doesn't seem like a "win" for Suter financially; I would have thought at that AAV he could have gotten more term, but maybe he is betting on himself. If he ...

I like Brock’s contract. The cap hit is great, and yeah, the term is too long. But, at least the contract doesn’t carry him to age 43. Lol

Tocchet loves him.
Good to see, I always felt he was sometimes overly criticized here.
Good for the kid. He has slipped to #9 or 10 in our depth chart. Too good for Abby. Too good to clear waivers.

6 years! (Elliotte Friedman reports the contract is for an average of about $5.3 million per season.)
That is a lot if cheese and term for a 37 year old rat.
