Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Why qualify him? He can score well in Utica and won’t count against the cap. If there are too many injuries he could be called up. That in itself is worth more than a 7th. .. but it ain't worth no 3rd. It all depends on if Gobby does what he said he was going to do this off-season. He has all the t...

Detroit Red Wings @DetroitRedWings UPDATE: The Detroit #RedWings today acquired forward Adam Erne from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Detroit’s fourth-round pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=130888 11:00 AM · Aug 14, 2019 If the Canucks p...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Dahlen’s problem, twice, was being unable to adapt to the AHL. His also did not relate well with Cull. But I think it was his agent who blew it by sounding off to Benning too much. Dahlen apparently didn’t sound off to anyone other than his agent. When his agent threatened NHL or back to Sweden Ben...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

I liked Roberto but it will be a joke if the Canucks retire his sweater as well That's a decision only " the family" can make. Maybe the call Mike for some input. I am with Blobbie on this one. If Lou wanted his number retired here (and his stats make it possible), he should have been traded back h...

Sbisa has played 384 more NHL games than Stanton despite the fact they were pretty much equal players.
Fixed for the troll
Zebras. Are they Black with White stripes, or White with Black Stripes. Blob, RD. Go!

Re: 2019 offseason

I don’t think Goldobin clears waivers. If we sign him it will be on the cheap and his occasional offensive flashes will make him an enticing reclamation project for someone. If he doesn’t fit on the team in Benning, or Green’s eyes, I’d rather they move him for something. I don't think there would ...

Rick Dhaliwal @DhaliwalSports Agent Markus Lehto on Olli Juolevi's knee re-hab : "Olli is skating & training hard, he is able to do things 100% on ice but is still being cautious in certain drills. He will work out with NHL players in Finland before leaving for Vancouver at the end of the month." #...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

This Focht looks like a steal. It’s Benning, I’m not surprised. Good thing Gillis put the team into a position to get him. #gillisistherealgenius I can just hear ol' Mike Gillis quoting McLean and McLean as he signed the last of the NMC contracts. "That aughta fuck 'em up for a while!"

If all goes well for Carson Focht, you might need to change your tag line.

Aug, 3rd 2019; Ben Kuzma on TSN 1040am radio speculating a 4 yea, 7 million contract for Boeser. Also speaks of Boeser having no further health issues allowing him to train awesomely. https://post.futurimedia.com/ckstam/playlist/listen-19080.html Goes into some, little bit more controversial, topic...

Stretcher for pullyourrv Baertschi over Stecher, please. We Need Stecher on D a lot more than we need Baertschi. And, PoolParty still has "Bust" written all over him. Stecher might be expendable in a few years, but he's slotted in this year to play 40+ games in our top 4 on Defense (injuries assume...

as an aside.
Stone will be Brad Treliving's 6th buyout as #Flames GM,

and the 4th of a deal he signed (following Bouma, Raymond and Brouwer).
But, he sure structured the contract nicely. Stone was a cheap buy-out, as there were no bonuses, or front loading of $$. GMJB could take note.

Help is on the way..... Irfaan Gaffar @sportsnetirf Sounds like Chris Higgins is joining the #Canucks in a player development role. Similar to what Scott Walker was doing. 2:04 PM · Jul 29, 2019 He was a hard worker and that's for sure. Why big letters on hard worker? I heard Higgins was always up ...
