Skyo is more intelligent than 90% of NHL GMs, and would do a better job than 135% of NHL GMs. I've shown my math.
Best post in this thread.
Bieksa would probably declare this the most intelligent post of the year. :)

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

I wouldn’t be trading either of them just yet. Demko has no value as it is so hang onto the kid and let him develop. From the handful of interviews I’ve heard the kid have he sounds like a well spoken and thoughtful young man. Goalies like pitchers are all flakes. Yeah not buying the Demko is a fla...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Anyways, my point was that while the angst has been over Goldy, if anything it should have been over Boucher not getting a chance the entire year ... Two players with similar flaws, but maybe the biggest weakness in Goldy's game is that he doesn't have a NHL shot while Boucher has an above average ...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Through January 1, Goldy was on 45-point pace. Good enough for a second line winger, not good enough for a 1st line winger. Josh Leivo with the canucks was at a 30 point pace. Sadly, I don't think Leivo is anything more than a 3rd liner. If we pay him like a 2nd liner, we'll forever hate him, kinda...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

It’s like Benning had 3 extra draft picks this year. Nonsense. These guys are available to the highest bidder and were for some reason passed over when draft eligible. They are closer to FA reclamation projects than draft picks. Or you could argue that they are more valuable than a mid to late roun...

Ya, I think Vitanen is a bigger commodity then most people here in Van think. If he isn't in the general plan moving forward for us, whether that be attitude, lazy habits, or simply that he and Green don't jive well, dunno. Personally, I think with some slight changes, he'll be awesome, but I do se...

You forgot the caption: "Strange and his favourite puppet." :eh: I thought I made it clear: That is Blob's Palmela Handerson. How bout I do the humour and you stick to playing semantics... mmmmmkay? That is Blob's cybernetic arm. "Fister Roboto", puppet style. Blobbie is way stranger than...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

What a special player McDavid is, his team sucks again as usual but individually, in a team sport, he’s special. Never won a championship in junior. We can all see why, he’s nothing more than a Pavel Bure. Give me Patrice Bergeron over McDavid any day of the week if I want to win Stanley Cups, give...

Will Lockwood sure is taking his sweet time???
Will Lockwood or won't Lockwood?
How much wood will Will Lockwood lock if Will Lockwood will lock wood?
That ranks up there with "How many Lowes would Rob Lowe rob if Rob Lowe could rob Lowes?"

Are any of these guys worth an offer sheet? Marner - 4 firsts - 10 mil+ Aho - 2 firsts a second and third - 8 to 10 mil Kapanen - 1st and 3rd? - 3 to 6 mil <snip> 4 firsts or 2 firsts for Marner or Aho may be hard to stomach, but I don't think the team is finding players of that caliber in the draf...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

31 years old and demoted to the AHL. is not a recipe for a bounce back after a down year. Alzner is a stay home kind of player in the same vein as Gudbranson, though less old-school. His mobility is about the same too.....I'm sure he passes better, but that's not saying much. Outside of blocking sh...

Baertschi Activated from IR... How does a healthy Baertschi change the landscape of this otherwise tough season of Canuck hockey? Horvat’s running mate, does Horvats numbers reflect the absence of his wingman and are we better in the standings??? He takes ice time from the kids. He should be shut d...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

It would be nice to get both Lockwood and Madden signed so they can play in Utica next year to go along with Lind and The Man Child. It seems the vast majority of our hope is already in the NHL. The cupboards are pretty bare in Utica. Benning was hoping to know of Will Lockwood's decision this week...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Eriksson is untradeable. Almost all of the dozens/hundreds of players this has been said about over the decades... got traded. Hell, someone here said that about Guddy the Penguin. It's poppycock... Once we pay that stupid July 1st bonus for the bump he is very tradeable. Won't he be $2 mil in real...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Loui the healthy scratch, Benning says they will discuss where he fits in to the future lineup in the off-season. I give full credit to blob for first raising the possibility, but I could see him retiring. Especially after learning where he fits in this summer - I think he's far too proud to go to ...
