Early in the season last year I wondered if AV new how to coach offense, but then we got on that roll and it seemed like a moot point. This year that question has resurfaced for me. As well, one of the guests on TEAM 1040 intimated as much yesterday. I think it was Gallagher (I know...groan), he tal...

The chatter about the Salo injury was a broken wrist.
Linden also pulled his groin during the game, but he looked totally fine afterword.
Luongo also looked fine (a wicked bruise though), he stood in for a long scrum after the game so watch TSN, A Channel, and Chek to hear him talk.

What a gentleman...Tom Larscheid

Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Tom Larscheid. What a genuinely nice guy. A kind word and a smile for everyone. And he looked like he was a kid in a candy store. His excitement for this season is palpable, which should make for some more classic moments. "My oh my." I can't believe I get pa...

I wonder if this isn't our Captain standing up and saying, "WE NEED OFFENSE!" I know it would be out of character for Naslund, but with our defense and Luongo we are very close to something special. Maybe this is his message to DN to get something done. It would come out of left field based on who M...

Yeah it was very cool. He talked about trends, scouting, etc...
He commented that he thought year 3 of Bieksa's is going to be a steal.
We're definitly going to see more long term contracts.

Conversation with Pred's Front office

So today I really have to say, I LOVE MY JOB! I'm a camera man for a TV station and I was assigned to interview a member of the Preds front office. While I was shooting the covering vis for the story I asked him about the Canucks from a Nashiville standpoint. He proceeded to show me the official ran...

I'll admit that their skating used to concern me a lot, especially the first season in training camp when the would regularly get beat by some slow defensemen (can't remember exactly who) in a foot race. But they always showed a glimpse here and there, and each year they showed growth. What allowed ...

I've been having the same thought. I thought he looked great early against the Canes (I chalk the comeback up to poor team play not him).

I saw the game last night too. They have the Bluejackets former 2nd rounder Kiel McLeod. He goes 6'6" 233lb. He had a pretty nice game last night, a goal and a couple of fights, but he wasn't that physical. He only threw a couple of weak hits, and on his first fight the guy he fought pick him up lik...

Juraj Simek

Last year in the Dub Jannik Hansen came out of no where to be a legit offensive prospect, and this year it's Simek. 10 games in and he has 17 pts. I think Hansen was about a point a game guy last year, and this guy is...(ok let's do the math...carry the one...subtract the..) almost 2 a game. I know ...
